good deer ammo?
Im wanting to either go with the hornady custom ammunition in 100gr 243 or the winchester supreme ballistic tip ammunition in 100gr 243. Where i hunt there are alot of property lines and fences so im wanting a good bullet to do alot of damage so they wont go far. If anybody has any experience with these bullets please inform me about them.

Try the Federal Fusion loads. I used them this year and they performed very well. Also grouped well in my rifle. I was shooting a 270 but a friend used the95 grain in his 243. Worked great.

I like Hornady ammunition, but I probably like it so well because it shoots well in my gun. As long as you use asolidly constructed bulletand getgood accuracy, it doesn't really matter which brand it is, as they nearly all work.

My .270 did some damage on the deer I took last year... seemed like a pretty accurate shoulder-shot if you look at the entry, but if you looked at the exit, back before the hind-qt's (it was completely broadside, musta hit bone and deflected) there was a large hole... nearly skinned the deer for me...
