First time in field=semi-success
#1

Got to bowhunt for the first time ever over Thanksgiving back in Indiana. Day one, right at daybreak, a group of about 6 does were 100 yards away. Before they could get any closer, my friend took one down with his shotgun from his stand. She was a good size, about 125# field dressed. The rest of that day and the next, I didn't see many deer, but being in a stand for the first time was great, and tracking his deer, dragging it back, and cleaning it was a valuable experience. Can't wait for the Dec. season here in AZ. Hopefully luck is on my side one of the next times!

i can still remember my first morning. I sat in my treestand and my dad sat at the base of the tree and the first deer we saw was a yearling and it walked right up to the bottom of the tree. my dad could have reached out and touched it. after it walked off we looked at eachother smiled, and laughed, and even though i didnt get a deer that year i will never forget my first morning, its an amazing thing

i remember the first time i sat in a treestand hunting, it seemed like hours watching that first deer turned out it was only a few mins though. I love the rush i get when i deer and i cant beat the excitement i feel when i shoot one.
