What do you pay for head mounts?

RE: What do you pay for head mounts?
Thanks for all the replies.
I was at the deer butcher dropping off my deer, when I started talking to the guys who were cutting off the antlers for customers. I mentioned that this was my biggest buck, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $400+ dollars for a mount.
One of the guys said he could do it for $350, and I would have it back by May at the latest. I asked him if he had any experience, and he said he has been a taxdermist for 11 years. He gave me one of his cards, and asked me to stop by his place later in the week to look at molds, and some of his work.
So...it looks like $350.00 for a mount is not to bad of a price, provided he does a good job.
I figure that if I get to his place, and I think his mounts all look crappy, then I will just pay him for capeing the deer, and I will just take my antlers back for an antler only mount.
