But today is better!
First....to answer you NY....I call with my mouth, not a store bought plastic piece of junk.
Second....
Last night after I got in I got a call from a buddy of mine that gut shot one. To make a long story short, we found it, but I didn't get in til late. So this morning when the alarm went off, I ignored it. An hour later I got up on my own, it was a quarter to five....I almost stayed there but decided to go climb a tree in hopes I would catch this beast. I jumped in the shower and off I went. Got in the tree at about twenty past five. It's still drizzling, and I didn't bump any deer even though I was a little later than I like to be. I settle in. About 6:20 or so, I see a deer coming my way from straight ahead in the swamp. It's still pretty dark, but he looks BIG. Sure enough....it's him. He's heading right for me so I grab my bow and get ready. 40 yards...30 yards....20 yards....15 yards.....HE STOPS! I have no shot and I have a monster buck no more than 15 yards from me. About 5 minutes go by and he looks behind him....so I look behind him. here comes a little doe....and another. He turns around and starts to walk away towards the two does....GEEZ! NOT AGAIN!!!! As the does get closer to him, they split up on seperate trails. The buck rushes towards the doe that was off to my left, putting him further away from me. He stops and looks back at the other doe. She is about ten yards in front of me now staring at him. He is staring back at her. He turns and starts heading to her.....slowly. All the sudden, the first doe that ran away comes running down the hill to meet up with the other doe and passes right under my stand, but keeps on going. I look back at the buck, and he is magnificent!!!! Huge rack, huge neck, just a huge all around animal standing to my 11 o'clock not ten yards away but facing me....no shot. He stands for another five minutes, then decides to check the doe. Here he comes.....8 yards....7 yards....he's in my lane but quartering to me....no shot. He stops. The doe that was in front of me bolts towards me and to my left inbetween him and me, passing right under my stand. He turns to follow her. He's now 5 yards away, in my lane, broadside. I slowly draw, put the pin on him......THWACK!!!!!! Hit him just behind the shoulder but poor penetration.....only about 6 inches or so. Must have clipped that shoulder bone. He takes off like a bat out of hell and I loose sight of him then there he is again. SMACK!!!!! He runs head on into a 10" maple tree about 70 yards out....LIGHTS OUT!!!! I climb down out of my tree and go over to him. He's a monster. But wait....what the hell happened here? Damn it!!! When he ran into the maple, he busted his right brow time and folded it back. It's still on but busted. Anyhow, that's how my morning went. I dragged him back to the truck, loaded him up, and thats all she wrote. He is an 11 pointer with a little over a 20" spreadthat should dress out at about 200lbs. I hunted this deer about 6 times already and I finaly got him. Now I can move onto a real big one that I have been watching. But for today, I'm gonna enjoy this behemoth.

DD....I do understand how this may all sound unbelievable to you....I mean heck, could it be possible? A man to actualy "hunt" a deer down and kill it without paying someone $3000 bucks to do it for him. Well DD...I'm here to tell you that it is in fact all true...and really not all that uncommon. Hell, I myself do it 3 or4 times a year. This is my second buck this year. My other one was a cull buck. 4.5 year old 8 point with a droptine and a 16 inch spread, with heavy horn. He weighed about 180 dressed. He sucked, so he died. Didn't want him spreading bad genes. Oh...and I'm sorry....I didn't even take a picture of that one.....shame on me. So I guess it never happened.

Did mommy and daddy leave this kid alone w/o computer supervision?
He is either a young BOY or a complete idiot. IMO he is not a hunter........ Deserves no respect.............and should be booted off of the forum.
To say that any whitetail "sucks" is a statement that a true hunter would never make. This statement alone speaks volumes about the "BOY's" character and manhood!
Hey Mod...........give em the axe!!!

So, whats with the new name? Trying to pry your foot out of your mouth? It won't work. People will see right through it when you true colors start to shine, which they already have.
Gus, well said my friend.
