Default That sucked

Took the 'Ol .54cal Lyman Great Plains Rifle out today. Poured 15 grains 4F down the bore and topped it off with 70g pyrodex P. Ignition was great, POI was excellent and right where it should. Then came the second shot and all went to hell

That was a new bucket filled to the brim with very damp sand and a distance of 58 yards.

Damn 224g Homecast Powerbelt Round ball did some horrible damage on it.

New possibles bag. Traded for this a few days ago and it just came in the mail today. Fits all my gear and i love the double bags. I'll keep my cleaning supplies and tools on one side and my normal shooting stuff on the other.

That's a nice bag.. even has a place for the patch knife.

That roundball really did a number. Amazing the power of a little roundball....

I dont have no use for a patch knife so i figured i'll go out later in the shed and find an antler that will fit into the sheath snug and make an antler powder measure. I like the idea of not having to take up room in the bag.

I was just shocked. I squeeze the trigger and the entire bucket rocks and the cardboard rips in half and i didnt know what the heck happened until i walked up there.

That ruined my shooting plans for the day!

The good thing is you never have to track a bucket that's been hit that well.

Well FG, maybe if you would have hit the center of the bucket like the rest of us would have instead of to the side it would have held together. Oh and BTW, I just love your new purse. Makes me wonder how 'good' a time you had at the rendevous?????? I don't recall you telling us about it.

Nice bag, but a poor choice of word todiscribe your bucket's condition.

Probably wouldn't happen with a mere mortal roundball or conical - that special pb is what did it I'm sure.
