Using a sled to drag out your deer.

the deer where i hunt in ky are too big for just me to drag out. i'm young 16 but the deer i killed last year i couldn't even move. i had to wait on my uncle and he and i still had trouble moving it. then we put in in a trailer hooked up to a tractor. we're in farm country so the deer grow big but there's no lack of tractors.

I might try that sled idea or some plastic underneath in a few years when i get older but for now i think i owe it to deer hunting and hunters to drag it out like the ol'days.

Starting at age 13, I dragged all of my dads deer out of the woods and had much satisfaction doing so. At age 15, I dragged out a 210 pound 8 pointer by myself. Took a while and I ached afterwards but I just get a real satsifaction out of it. This year, at 16, I hope to drag my own 200 pounder out.

The first 20 years, we draged a few, but carried most of them out of the 'swamp' on POLES. Polling is better than dragging, [in the swamp] then for the next 15 years, we used my homemade cart........It goes thru mud, snow, sand, and will fit down a corn row!
