RE: Anyone seen much rut activity in MO?
krub I haven't been up there yet but my brother and a buddy went too our place in Mtn. View, MO last weekend to hang stands and they said the acorns were like popcorn in the woods. Biggest mast crop we've had in years! That means woods hunting this year. The sad part is the weather forecast. Frickin weather is HOT and the moon phase like it is, just doesn't look like it's going to be much to get excited about...
well other than it's ANOTHER year in the great ol show me state and their gun season opens a week earlier than ours here in TN!!!

A good friend of mine has a farm up north, right on the Iowa border, where he is seeing a lot of action, but over at my farm (near Marthasville), its been very, very quiet.
Yeah, and this weather SUCKS!

I hunt the bottoms near New Haven. Our woods is still pretty thick because of the warm weather. The leaves are still clinging to the trees. Forecast looks like mid 60's for opening day. We've been seeing deer, but the weather is far from ideal.
