DD, I have the Hastings Paradox on my BRN A-5 and will not give it up for nothing, just watch out for the Remington Solids onthe hastings barrels.
HastingsĀ® does not recommend the use of Remington Copper Solid Sabot Ammo.

I shoot a winchester 1300 with a slug barrel and use nothing but brenneke slugs. They are rifled, and pointed and have been the most accurate for me... if you do a search on them you will find out that many people love them and get better groups with them..... I have a bushnell banner shotgun scope. my gun in sighted in at 100 yards with no problems....
then I have my .308browningBAR

That's a nice shot, but did you just fire the one out of it? Firing one shot is not going to tell you much. How do you know it will repeat that the next time you shoot it?
I would shoot at least three and see what happens.
