Default Hastings Slug Barrels

Has anyone used the slug barrel with controlled sabot discard? I am shopping around for a upgrade for my 870.

I have a few friends with hastys. I am not a big fan of thiers. They make this big deal out of shooting copper solids. And the only ammo they getting shooting well is Lightfields. I would stick with the original Remington barrel if I was you.

hastings is good barrel, but they were the first. now that all the major gun companies make there own slug barrles, it just maybe a wise choice to stick with them. I have a remington 11-87 with a remington rifled/cantilever slug barrel, and it shoots great using lightfields, same holds true for my ithaca, and my two mossbergs. also that hasting barrel is over $250 half the price of a decent shotgun.
