Anyone recommend a book of whitetail tactics.
I'm new to hunting but not new to the woods.
Something comprehensive but maybe geared toward hunting in the south? I don't have a ton of money to spend this year and alot of books I looked at in the store talked about camo, scents and stands and loads, etc. My treestand this year will be "pick a tree and stand next to it." My camo is "be still, be quiet and watch the wind." I just want something that lays out the simple truth with no bs.
Thanks for the tips.

Look for the author Greg Miller. He has a few books that I think are just what you are looking for. No nonsense, construction worker who hunts hard and smart.
The two books of his that I have are RUBLINE TACTICS, and AGGRESIVE WHITETAIL HUNTING. They definately contributed to my success in tagging a nice buck last year as I set up in place that years prior I probably would not have recognized.
Good Luck,
JR

Try my Whitetail Addict's Manual. If you don't learn anything I'll refund your money. Just type my name into the Google search engine to find me.

I agree with T R Michels. After reading his post on moon phases I did a search on him. He has an amazingly profuse amount of publications on the subject in the public domain on websites. by the way T R everytime I try to get on your website it times out. Having trouble? Just too many hits??? Are you REALLY that good? Just thought you would like to know.
Hey, size may not matter but it sure IS nice!
