RE: Vanilla Extract
i've used it as a cover scent, the deer seem to like the corn as it is, as long as the weather isn't hot, i've been told that corn is a starch, and the corn heats their body temp. up. i have encountered time when this was true, warm or hot weather, the deer slow down eating the corn,

I also use the vanilla extract with unscented bubbles...you know the ones kids blow around in the yard...I put in a couple of drops and when in a climber or ladder stand I blow out some bubbles. This not only has a scent, but also gives you the wind direction. kinda looks cool with the bubbles floatin around...hehe

I used vanilla a few years back and had a doe feed about 30 yards down wind of me for quite awhile till she just walked off.Don't know if it attracted her or not but it certainly didn't drive her away.
