Scrape Question
On several hunting shows lately, a lot of footage of different age bucks are seen making scrapes. The younger bucks seem to rake the ground in a straight ahead motion. The larger, mature bucks seem to have more of amotionsort of to the side. Anybody else ever noticed this?

That is interesting. I have not noticed it and wonder if it does communicate something. I wonder also if they have a visual signiture other than their general scrape. It is worth checking out.

RE: Scrape Question
for the most part, i think larger, more dominant bucks put more aggressiveness into it. Maybe throwing their head side to side is seen as more aggressive than a straight up and down motion. I really never thought of what you said.
