Well, about 15 mins ago, i was sitting here typing away when i glanced ou the window and saw a deer about 400 yards across a valley in our CRP. i ran down to the basement, grabbed a spotting scope, and set up out on the deck. once i got 45X zoomed in and focused, i easily saw it was a doe. i noticed it was thinner so it should have dropped fawns. after about 5-7 mins, it started walking. out behind pranced a tiny little spotted fawn. If that wasn't cool enough, the thing started nursing right there. They walked around the CRP grass and the doe groomed the fawn and let it run between its legs. Just a cool sight, never seen them nurse or groom a fawn in the wild. just awesome...

thats preatty cool but last year in about july i was walkin scoutin deer and walked through the edge of a corn feild and when i got to the end i was about 50 yrds from a doe and her twins. they hadn't noticed me so i stayed and they walked to within about 20 yards and on their way the fawns were nursing and she was watching them that was the the first time i had seen fawns nurse and since i was so close it was even cooler

I've got six of them that come thru my yard every day, about 15-20 feet from where I'm sitting. The wander across the road to eat the clover I've planted.
