RE: turkey hunting in Washington state
I know a lot can change in a year, but hopefully there will still be a tom on the reservation to chase. It'd be nice if they let me come over there next April instead of May. Then, Uncle Mayo could bring my oldest son over one weekend and we could call from my pop-up blind. He's not old enough to hunt yet, but he'd get a rush from it. Plus, I would have a ton of time to "field test" my calls before or after work. Now that I've got all of this stuff planned out, I just hope they don't screw me up.

I bought mine from Sportsman's Guide during the summer, but I think mine is the regular Doghouse. I may try the bow this year in it. I'd like to gig me one this spring.

Yep, that would've been funny. But we'd have never gotten that smell out of the blind from him crappin' his pants. Stink don't wash off.
I'll bring it with me. I hope to bring the camcorder to get some footage of my calls in action, and maybe somebody gigging one. You need to let me know your guest schedule this year so I can avoid interfering with plans. I'm thinking I'll only get one weekend this season, with school being what it is, so I may opt for the 2nd or 3rd weekend this year. That way the toms will be farther up the mountain, and we can spread out more. You can let me know what you think about it.

Hey Slee -
If you are going to try chasin' em' w/a bow... have you seen the "Gobbler Guillotines" broadheads. They look interesting, but I'd imagine you need to get a bird in pretty close- here is the websiteGobbler Guillotine
