2004 Hunting Plans
#12
Taking both of my" newbie" hunting daughters after turkey and deer. I myself will be bowhunting elk, deer, and antelope. Will take of the usual 4-5 weeks during hunting season. Plan on putting in for a goat tag. I have the llamas ready and the spot picked out already. A friend of mine killed one a couple of years ago and everything is ready but the tag.

I will be looking for a nice long beard come spring, then for the fall, I pursue them flat land goats(antelope), then elk, and last deer! I am trying to save up enough to go to Australia for a Red Deer also.

Just typing this is getting my blood all in a boil.
I've got vacation for 11-26 Sep. to bowhunt elk here in western MT. I've got three real honey holes, but only have time to hunt two. I'll backpack and scout all summer and try to locate the 300 bulls. Then I'll pack in for 8 days in one area, then come out shower up and eat a big pizza, then head to the second area for the last 8 days.
In Nov., I've got 13-28 of the month off. Will hunt about a week over in my secret spot in eastern MT for big whitetails, and play around here around home the rest of the time with the local whitetails. I've been on a track-measuring kick this winter, and think I'm getting a buck semi-patterened that's coming on 5 years old.
