Nice buck!!! I live up in Southern Oregon and I am archery hunting them this year so it makes it a bit harder but anyways I was sitting in my tree stand and I put some doe pee out and about 3 hours later this spike buck comes walking in. Spikes are not legal in Oregon so i was just watching him smelling around... Then he just raised his head and was looking from where he came from. Then I started hearing crunch crunch and then it stopped so I looked back and saw a BIG 4x4 buck standing there looking at the spike. So I was shakin like a leaf and grabbed my bow and waited for a clear shot. He came right up under my stand and looked around for a minute and then walked out to 8 yards with a perfect slightly quarting away. So I drew back and settled my pin perfect behing the shoulder and shot! But the string to my bow went to one side of my release and hung up and then I couldn't keep steady and I was trying to get it on the deer again and it shot and I hit 4" infront of it.[:@] Makes you want to rifle hunt next year!

That's why it's called huntin... glad to hear others still get as excited as I do... I hunt both bow, rifle and muzzle loader... Hunt in northeast Oregon too.. have friends who have a ranch.. great fun..
It surprises me how few people hunt blacktails.. hope we get a few more hits.. take care

Hey Cuernos,
Glade to see you made the jump to cali!!! great looking forky and to no surprise you will find a lot of the more mature deer that are true blacktials tend to lean towards just giant forks. Here is my archery buck from this year.
