Welcome! I saw a fair amount of scat up there this past Sunday, but I' ve yet to see a bear. My buddy had 1 run across the road while they were scouting 2 weeks ago, and I' ve heard them in years past. I' ll have my bear tag in my pack just in case one presents itself. There are quite a few up there, but they don' t hang out along the roads too much. I' m heading out tomorrow afternoon, and I' ll be back in Monday afternoon. I can give you a pretty thorough scouting report for my hunting area then.

Wayne, I heard about your elk trip. Way to go! I' ll let you know when I' m on my way so you have plenty of time to thaw the tenderloins.
And salmon too? Bonus! Glad you had a fine trip.

Man I wish I could say, see you tonight. But if I dont take the Girlfriend to Leavenworth in the morning she will kick my but. I have been spending alot of time hunting and fishing this year. First year salmon fishing so it seams to her that I have been gone more. Not any more than last year, just more game..
Next friday we leave for Deer. But lets see what the following weekend pans out to be? Maybe could leave the Friday after work?
We were hunting Chewelah this spring and watched a huge Brown/Grizz with 2, two year old cubs feed. She had an ass the size of a barn door. We sent the pics to F&G to see what they would said. They said that there was too little evidence to prove it Grizz. Man she had a huge blonde hump on her back.. I could have Kevin send you some if you are interested?
And thank you for the invitation. Cameron

Wayne, nope, didn' t get a moose draw again! This year my cousin and I put in for the same area; odds turned out to be 1.8 to 1 and neither of us got picked. Burn!
Been having a fine time bowhunting locally though. Had opportunities at a dozen or so bucks but declined to shoot. I either want a big one or I' m going to wait for the rut this year. Like you, I' ve seen plenty of bears, so I have one of them tags in my pocket too. One sauntered past at 10 yards one morning, but I didn' t shoot it either. Don' t really know what I' m waiting for.
Oh ya, and a quail landed on my back while I was acting like a bush. All the best to everyone there. Will likely be down sometime before the snow flies and see you then. Cheers. C2

Well...one of them bear' s left me another pile at the bottom of the drive again. Took a hike down to the lower apple tree....could' nt hardly take a step with out stepping in the mess' s. Think he' s coming in after dark now though...have' nt seen him in the day time....unless he' s coming around while I' m at work...plus had a couple of muzzle loader' s here this last week-end....the shooting might have also made him change his hour' s of arrival.
