Default Montana Home Boys, ... Need Help In 401

Hey, any you home boys in eastern montana know anything about unit 401? I know trying to get a repley is prombly like finding a needle in a hay stack, but I gotta try. I have three deer tags that I can legally and personaly fill. Two in which are there. My third deer tag is on my big game license in which and when I use will be in the 175+ range and thats a possibility there. So far I am releying on topos and BLM maps. Thanks for any imfo, Bobby

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for, but on the map I have from FWP has 401 notrh of Great Falls along the Canadian border. That is in Toole and Liberty Counties, I guess I wouldn't call that eastern Montana. What do you think Robert?

That is funny and I probably need corrected but anything on that side of the Rockies is eastern to me, since I am on the west side of the Divide. So far the only thing I am releying on in the 401 is BLM and topo mapps. From what I have the mountains there towards the Alberta border is where I think I can bag a trophy mulie and fill two anterless mule deer tags. Its a six hour drive from here, and I was wanting to get some feed back as if this may be a good area. Thanks guys for your help, Bobby

Thanks for the e-mail Blackhawk as it would be nice to bag an antelope also as I'll follow up with a phone call. I'll be heading to the 401 unit Nov.4 for a week or 10 days and going in "COLD". I have never been there or hunted it before. New horizon for me as I am looking forward to it. Thanks, Bobby
