Hey,
Just wondering if anyone's used it, and what your results were? In my hometown, steel's $25 a box [:-] but where I am now, BC is $26 a box, so I'm thinking even if it's horrible, it can't be any worse than the Rio's I buy at home. Thanks,
Cory

We've hadmixed experiences with black clouds. Number one is the price... im sure they would drop ducks a lil better than other shotshells, but winchesters and ultra shoks will do for me. My buddy has an 870 express 12 gauge and the he would have to slam the action to get it open after firing a shot.

Black Cloud is OK , but there is a bit of marketing hype involved also
But BC will not pattern for a hoot out of a Patternmaster or other stripper type chokes
If you didn't buy a $80+ choke tube , you are fine
The stuff tends to pattern a little tighter than standard steel
I will not say it is that much better than standard steel , if you are using the right choke
BTW I shoot a fair number of the Rio 3" 1 1/4 oz of #3 out of a extended Mod choke tube for ducks
Never felt I had a problem killing ducks
Probely have 4 or 6 flats left in the closet , wished I had odered more last year when they were cheap
I have a flat+ of the Rio 3" BB load , at close to moderate distances
The geese are just as dead as any other load

Can't get a consistant pattern with them in my Benelli. I have since gone exclusivly to Kent Fasteel #3, 1 9/16oz shot for ducks, and have had fantastic luck. They areall I need and I have also converted several other skeptics that have shot with me. BBB is also what I use for geese in the Kent if I'm shooting my 12ga.
