Default blinds

This weekend we will be hunting some creek bottoms for geese. Up here in Indiana we have got so much rain that everything is flooded. We are going to hunt a new spot that is out in the middle of a cornfield. Here is the problem we have no laydown blinds to hunt from. A pit blind is not an option since we can't tear up the field. Is there any way to make ablindto hunt out of or is there another way to hide out in the field. There will be two of us hunting it on saturday.

We have wheat fields we hunt geese in on the early season and and most of us believe it or not just lay in the field and dont move till its time to shoot.Or we set a goose decoy shell on top of ourself . Its works shot plenty of geese that way as long as you dont move.

depends on how much water there is. use an x-landr blind by koplin or cover up with burlap

The times we hunted geese out of a field with water we loaded a jon-boat with decoys, and pulled it as we walked to where we wanted to hunt. An empty jon-boat doesn't weigh much at all. Put on your waders or hip boots and when you get to where you want to go, place your decoys and hop in the boat. When your weight is in the boat it should touch bottem. If not bring two small anchors just in case. Then put a cover netting over the boat and bring in the geese. The jon-boat should pull out there even if there's only half a foot of water.

Go to Home Depot or just about any "big box" store and get a couple of pallets and set your layout blinds on top of them.

What is the best type of laydown blind to get. Is there anything bad about them that I should know about.

Think comfort. Waterproof bottoms are a good thing....also...it should fold up nicely and easily and store well. Check out the coatings on the metal frames too....any metal around water=rust.
