I use Pinnacle, why is it too easy? Is an editing program supposed to be hard to use? The easier the program the faster you can get your post production done.............I'm not saying Pinnacle isn't somewhat limiting and I will most likely be switching it out this year for Sony vegas, but it is a great program to cut your teeth on.

How have you found it limiting?

i find it limiting on the transitions, the colors that it uses i think iz not very good for hunting and i wish you could change that, but do you have the bonus dvd that has extra transitions and if you do, is it worth buying and does it have cool transitions

Most pro's do not use alot of fancy transitions. A simple cross disssolve is the most used transition through outa film.

I did not purchase any additional transitions nor would i ..........transitions should not be noticed and should make each scene flow together seamlessly, unless you want to put emphasis on a particular segment, if you have pinnacle 10.7 or above you can veiw all the avail. transitions in the album and choose whether or not you want to purchase them.

I have grown with Pinnacle since Pinnacle 8 back in 2003...I hate pinnacle for all of its weird curve balls it throws me....but I love it because I have learned to understand it..I'm sure lungbuster knows what I mean.....Remember...making video is about you...a good camera...and careful footage with minimal camera shake...and REAL footage.......I NEED to upgrade too....but pinnacle will get you there...all you need is a menu...transitions..and to be able to trim and add music....Pinnacle does ALL of this and a TON more.....learn and play with it...if you have a specific question about how the program is acting....PM me...take care...
