RE: Is any body having fun yet?
Wow what a Great Day I had. I took my first ever quail over my GSP, which it was her first quail as well. Father in law also got a double, first quail he has shot in 20 years. Very happy with my GSP, 18 months old, solid points and good retrieves. What a heartpounding experience that was. Must try to make it back into the fields for some more of Mr. Bobwhite, what a great experience.
Good luck and Happy hunting.

Amen Duckstampede. The covey rise of the little gentlemen is a very invigorating experience.
Maskell, Great news with the pup. Sounds like dad-in-law hasn't forgotten what to do during his 20 yr hiatus. Doubles on quail is no mere feat. Kudos!
I had a good weekend. Took the Chessie out and bagged a quail. We got up 3 coveys and I should have had 2 more birds but operator error prevented such. Bobwhite in the hardwoods are some fast motor scooters!

HI All, Off to Quail Run tomorrow, taking small boy and small dog! Should be great fun to see a puppy get a bird up. I have no clue how she will react. And to watch my boy shoot birds, PRICELESS!
