A couple of years ago, I noticed that there is a season on crows. When I was a kid the only thing determined the season on crows was whether or not it was daylight. I have to admit that when I was a kid we would also try to shoot grackles and starlings with a pellet gun. I can't remember ever killing anything. If we ever did hit one, the pellet would just bounce off. Airguns were a different animal 30 years ago.

I shootgrackles withpellets and it goes right through them. My guns so accurate that I've shot them through the head at 20 yards--seriously. It's a whole different story now.

By the way, I can hardly kill crows with a 12 gauge and #5 shot. I once shot one 4 times before it expired.
