anything new in your vest

One of the downsides to living in the Northeast is we wait until May to get the season rolling...
The best upside is unless I bought it at the end of last season on clearance, I can wait and get good feedback on new calls from you guys
Seriously, I haven't bought anything new in a few years. I've been working my butt off for 2 months, and will get a mini-slackoff the next few weeks. During that time, I've got some nice wood stock I'll be carving into a boat paddle box and the chamber for a homemade slate. My brother's a cabinetmaker, so I have some good selections for wood choices...
Of course, about April 1st I'll putz around with my mouth calls and order a few new ones for the ones that have finally worn out. I'd start making my own, but I know when that starts I'll want to compete, and I haven't the time or patience.
Also conducting a "study" on the wild turkey with a collaborator. I'll let you guys in on the results, should have them at the end of the season. May turn the call industry upside down when we done [&:]

bobbgobble,im lame with technical stuff,im kinda of old school, last to get a pager or cell phone.i have been looking at digital cameras though and it would be great to videotape a hunt, i see they have small lightweight cameras but you need a videorecorder to actually film.im a simple guy and dont want to be lugging all that stuff.hunting turkeys is difficult enough without a bunch of distrations.

Bob,
simple...a collaborator is a "colleague" interested in a "common goal"...
We've talked about getting this little experiment done for a few years, and it appears that this Spring we'll actually be able to get into the woods and get it accomplished. I'd give more details, but then that would just spoil the results
