Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Nobody throwing in Rhino? They make an awesome choke... but for a hefty price. I've had good luck with non ported Hastings, a 650 in my short barrel 870 with 3" Winchester HV #6 and a Hastings 665 with the same load out of an old Mossberg 500 with a basic 28" tube. Sadly, the Mossberg beat the pants off the 870 at 40 yards... but each gun is different. The best bet would be to borrow some chokes and a shell or two of different brands, shot, etc, from your buddies and you'll save some $ in the process. Heck, I've got some 3 1/2" Remington Premier HV 1300 fps 2oz. #5's I'll give ya. Just hang onto your shoulder if you shoot them off the bench. Oh, and Hastings won't break the bank either... at around 30 bucks.

I just started today with the Rhino Came yesterday so today I shot it at 40yds with Winchester 3.5" 6 shot and put 109 hits in a 12" circle. Threw in a Nitro 3.5" 4X5X7 shot, my shot was low so I found the center of the majority of the patern and put a 12" cirle around it and came up with 279 hits You can bet I'll be moving my sights to adjust that mass right were it counts! In thye head Still a few more loads to test out but it looks like I'll be Nitro ammo through the Rhino tube this Spring.

Ewwww... that's a sweet combination MK. Tell me this... how did you get the wife to go along with that Visa bill? I've got one solid hunting buddy, in fact the only one I'd take with me both archery and turkey, that just bought the Rhino / Nitro setup for his Winchester.

We went to the range mid week and it's out performing my 3 1/2" gun with ease. I came home from shooting with the "look"... my wife said, Ok, now what... I said, uh... she said... nope, you may as well sell your truck, 'cause you're not getting another advancement on your allowance until deer season. [&o] Oh well, I tried.

I didn't run the ammo by her yet A friend I meet on another forum made a few calls for me and my friends and he sent me two Nitro loads. He bought them at his local hunting shop individually so he asked what load I'd be interested in and sent them.

I'm ready to tell her now, I just have to wait until the right moment I don't dare mention my back up turkey thumper needs one too[:-] saving that one to fix up for next Spring I'm shooting a great pattern through it using a Kicks tube.
