some of you may have read about mine and froman's little hunting trip. well also some of the tom's were already strutting and gobbling. does this mean out season will be not so good because of an early breeding period? or does this usually happen? our season opens april 1st.

They will still be there G-dog,long as you dont harrass them to much. From your story it sounds to me like they are still in their winter flock and haven't begun to break up yet so I think your in for a pretty good season.Toms will strut all year especially when around other gobblers to express excitement, aggression, and dominance. From your previous story it does sound like you have one tom that is trying to establish his dominance, but breeding wont begin until the hens are ready no matter how much he struts or gobbles.Rip's also right on the money i always hope many of the hens get bred before season also as this will save you alot of frusteration trying to get a gobbler to leave hens during your gun season.
