Was this an average pattern for you or your best? What I usually do is shoot several rounds and go to a distance where I have an average of 5 or better with the worst pattern having no less than 3 hits in the vitals(skull & spine). Hard to tell from one shot but if this is typical you should be good to at least 25 and like others have said probably 30(but check first).
There will likely be more 16 guage ammo coming out with remington reintroducing the 16 guage 870 pump this year. Keep you eyes open.

That was the best and last shot I took. It took a couple rounds to get used to the gun. I may have just been me, but the gun seemed to shoot low and to the right. I am leaving in a couple hours to go shoot again. I will calculate my average then.
