Im kinda new to turkey hunting and i was curious if anyone would recomend hunting from a tree stand or is hunting from the ground better? Also does anyone know where i could find some audio tapes on spring/fall turkey sounds for practicing with? and finally any recomendations on what broad heads to use when bow hunting turkey?

I would NOT reccomend you hunt from a treestand. Due to the extreme downward angle of the shot you ore more than likely to hit more of the body of the bird than the head. Just not a good idea.

hope the info helps you out!

Hdxl1200c,welcome to the board..as with WH I feel a ground blind is much better for the bowhunter and have had much better luck in that direction in the past. These birds stay alive by picking up movement and I have had much better luck by using a ground blind and a decoy in the spring,to help in hiding my draw in the past. Here' s a good site to go too for your audio needs.Cassettes or Cd' s both will get the job done and help a bunch.I happen to like Lovettes Real Turkeys series. Here' s the site.. http://www.wingsupply.com/videos_cds_cassettes.asp... As for broadheads I like Rockethead Aero heads.Great mechanical broadhead that opens up on impact to a 1 1/2 to 1 3/8 cutting area.I like there 100grain sidewinder3!Here' s the site to check them out.. http://www.rocketaerohead.com/product_line.html check them out..
Hope this helps....Bob
