Here in Calif,they start gobbling as a result of the urge to breed as early as late Feb into Mar and Apr!The best month being April!

last year or the year b4 in buck season there was like 4 inches of snow on the ground and we listend to a hen calling..and a gobbler gobbling like it was spring!! it was great listenin to them talk...we were in blaze orange within 150 yds and we could see them through brush and they werent bothered by us...but here id say when the weather breaks..end of march early april they start gobbling hard im gessing all depending on the weather

I heard several about 2 weeks ago. I got sang to by a whole bunch for an hour or two. There hasn't been a winter here in Ms. so far. It's like 70 here now. We might have had 5 days of below 40. no teens yet.
