Actually down south we rarely get a cold winter. In areas where birds are plentiful, i have heard birds gobble all through the winter months. Im guessing not in a sexual way but more to display dominance over other flock birds.

I hear Gobbling year round in Pa,but it really starts getting going the first week of March here.

Here in Southern Ohio ,Depends on the weather,I heard them the last week of february if it's been warm,but usually middle of march

I was out in the woods this weekend here in wisconsin and heard the first gobbles in the new year, usually we don't hear any till mid march, this week end was unusually warm for wisconsin, we reached 45 degrees.

I hear them all year round, but most in April.

Throughout the winter you'll hear some gobblin here.But they don't get cranked up till March.

I live 2.5 hrs from my grandfathers farm. So i usally wait till end of March before i start my scouting. they are usally Gobbling pretty good by then..
