The terrain is generally flat and limiting your movement has proven successful for me. It is also difficult with the wind to strike a gobbler in hearing distance without bumping him first.

The osceola is the most skiddish animal on the planet. All rules pertaining to turkey hunting apply. The difference is you have no room for error when in comes to being seen. You have to be a lot more careful about movement. Also, they tend to become "call shy" easier on public land.

It will also depend on where your hunting them. Osceolas on private ranches are by far the easiest turkeys to hunt. The public land in Florida is however few and far between. So they get pressured like crazy. Even some of the hunting leases get way to much pressure. The open terrain is the key factor. Take note of it!
