I have a scope on one of my guns but am worried that I wont be able to pick up a gobbler as fast as I could with open sights...

Ken, you have to keep both eye' s open and sort of look over the scope untill the bird comes into range. Once in range, look through the scope until a shot opertunity comes along!! Bang, it' s over!!
