Jake took this bird over the weekend. Beautiful primaries, good beard and awesome spurs. Here are the stats: 23lbs 10" beard 1.5000 & 1.4375 hooks. Taken on public land in MA.

Gotta love the white in the middle of the fan. We have killed 3 in the last 5 or 6 years with similar white spots in the fan like that. Two from the same area but the third was about 15 miles away. WCL

Thanks, he was shot at the top of a large rise overlooking a gravel pit, the skyline made for some great video.

He was taken on the south shore. We had a good year in MA. Most all of our birds were over 20lbs with 9+" beards, hooks weren't nearly as big as this guy's but like you said we don't see many like that one walking around.

Never hunted down that way... Berkshire County has been good to us this year...
several nice birds taken. Been seeing some large one's around still. I'm tagged out, but will be taking some friends out this weekend... trying to call and video for them.
