Well, shot my first 2 turkeys (my brother also got his first 2). One on Easter and one this Friday. What a thrill to bring them in within shooting range. The only problem is that after filling your tag by 6:30 A.M. you have to wait a week for the next hunt. After shooting the one on Friday, as we were looking over the turkeys, we heard and then saw a few more come out of the woods toward us. Since we filled our tags we let them go. Apparently they weren' t spooked by the gunshot. The bigger one I shot had a 10" beard, weighed 18lbs. and had 0.9" spurs. Can anyone tell me how old he was? Can' t wait to get out there next weekend.

Thanks Guys and Lady(ies)?
Brian, I know what you mean about spending money on this sport, it gets addictive. The situation is worse for me since there isn' t many good sporting goods stores with a selection of decent hunting equipment around here (Chicago) except for galyan' s and they' re freakin' expensive. Luckily the wife is cool with it.
Mauser, I feel for ya. Keep your head up, deer season will be here before you know it, along with fall turkey
