Mouth Call ?

[&:] Never paid attention to the color.
My two favorite calls Dave used a grey and on the other a green outer layer for a reed...they work just the same as the clear or white ones.
What's the difference?

The white has a funny taste to it.

I think you're tasting the powder that is sometimes on a new mouth call, thats why I always thoroughly wash them when I buy one. I've never noticed a difference in different colored latex.

The white latex I use turns clear after using it for some time. It is covered with a powder like struttingobbler3 said. Try rinsing it off first. Then after use, rinse again and store in the fridge.

Me either - and I wash mine also.
I have some that are clear and some that are green and some that are yellow and some that are white or and just checked - some are shot - seen their better days.

Well my only comment, (not really), as JW! says, some of his calls are shot. Don't matter, He has impressed me and others when it comes to hunting a gobbler. He may not be the smartest person in the world, but he knows his birds.
