In had the pleasure of spending an action packed day at Bosstoms roost yesterday. Activities included:
1) Diaphram call construction demonstration
Adrian highlights how to find the right stretches, latex diameters and cuts that produce some great turkey sounds
2) Turning a custom purpleheart striker demonstration
A labour of love and the inhalation of some grat exotic wood dust to boot. I honestly feel guilty for ordering so many strikers off the guy as I personally see the effort a solid turkey striker receives. Come on boys throw a little tip money in the bartenders jar.
3) Leisurely drive through some fine turkey country
Seen a few birds, seen some great woods and even played chicken with a tractor trailer. I think Adrian aged 10 years after that stunt. LOL!
4) Visit the local taxidermist and see some excellent mounts such as a longbeard in flight and a collosal russian grouse.
Bearded hens abound the shop as they feed all around for some wild grape mast.
5) Witness some excellent home video productions of some great turkey hunts.
Footage includes a actively cutting hen which circles two hunters within a mere couple of feet and would not spook from all the movement, talking and explosive laughter from the two hunters.
Book now to reserve your spot!!!
Adrian, all kidding aside, you are a class act and thanks again to you and Jeanette for being such excellent hosts. I hope my fierce grumbling stomach did not scare you much. I think all the gobblers in your county shock gobbled when my stomach roared. I blame myself for putting to many onions on my sandwich at lunch. I love onions, but onions don' t like me......
