I love turkey hunting, but i must admit this time of year my mind is on getting ready for deer season. Fall turkey season is nice though, sometimes i get bored sitting in a tree stand all day bowhunting

Hello, my name is Blake and I'm a Turkey-a-holic
. I wake up every morning to a gobblin alarm clock, I'm addicted! I do have my mind on stickin some deer for sure, but I guarantee you if I see a big ol tom walkin up the side of a ridge or hear some birds makin' racket, my mind is on turkeys! I'll have my deuce cutter in and ready to roll! Good luck fellas!

I may actually get to go out more than once this year. The last three years, I've been travelinga couple hours south for my state's early muzzleloader deer season which is only on a select few state lands. This huntoverlapped withOhio's 14 day fall turkey gun season (although you could shoot one with a bow through most of November, but I don't hunt turkey with a bow so I never went).
This year though ........

1. My DH will be out west for an elk hunt and he is going with my bossand it is during the same week as early ML season so I won't be deer hunting then. I have to hold down the fort at work, but I can go out my back door in the evenings and hunt turkey.

2.Ohio extended the fall turkey gun season for the whole 6 weeks from mid October all the way through November. So now I can have a LOT more opportunity to harvest a fall turkey! Time to start shoring up my homemade ground blinds.
