Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default what shoots best in your mossbg 500?

i have a mossberg 500 and i just got a undertaker super full choke and i was wandering what some of you have experienced with this combo. i know each will vary but at least it will give me some place to start. someone suggested i think they are called winchester black eagle 3" #6 shot. has anyone ever shot these? also i was wondering do they make a camo stock and slide replacement for these guns ?

Well let me help you little here. I' m a fellow Mossberg 500 user, 3' ' accu choke barrell. I put fiber optic sights on mine, and camo taped it. Use mossbergs own xx-full turkey choke. The gun wasn' t too bad, I was getting 9-12 pellets in the head @35yds with Win. High Velocity #6 loads. But I wasn' t satisfied! I attended a turkey hunting seminar, and the speaker showed us a target of his average shotgun using Nitro Turkey ammo. He had over 50 pellets in the head, yes the head not circle at 40yds. He gave me the info on the Nitro. I bought some Nitro recommended for my 500, and guess what. At 40yds I had 35 pellets in that head!! Nitro ammo isn' t easy to get, and the longer you wait towards turkey season the harder it is to get your hands on. Its also not cheap. Cost me $26 for 10 shells. But the pattern far outweighed all that to me. If your interested can check them out www. nitrocompany.com
