Youth season was great,we got up at 4:00am got ready and were in the woods by 5:30.After an hour of waiting and not hearing a thing we decided
to move to a differant part of the woods. We waited there about 15 minutes then we finaly heard a gooble!then another gooble from a differant direction
10 minutes later i saw the turkey enter the woods!I thought he was a Tom cause he was struttin the whole way and his head was pure white,he got to
about 30 yards(still comin) and my dad was telin me to shoot but i didnt have a clean shot so i let him come another 15 yards and pulled the trigger!!!!
BOOM.........I missed he flew about six feet in the air and landed about 5 feet from where he was!,but as soon as he hit the ground i shot again and he was dead!!!I got my 1st turkey and we were out of the woods by 7:30am

Very nice... Congrats. It's easy to miss when they are that close with the tight patterns these guns throw!
Wish I could say that has never happened to me...

Nice job.

Great job! It's funny how those close shots become the toughest. Way to recover and get it done.

Congrats.
