I shot an adult gobbler at 6 paces in the spring of 2001. He came in directly behind the only tree between me and him. I was glad I had a scoped gun to precisely aim with at that short of range. Talk about exciting! I have had jakes and hens at about the same distance before also. Sure is a thrill to see wild turkeys close up like that!
