Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Here's what a neebe like me takes.

I use aPrimos Freak call...and a cutting striker like this.Don't forget to bring a piece of sandpaper to rough up the face of your call if you don't use a box call...I do carry one extra slate type call and 4 extra strikers..but this is my best striker..and The Freak is my best call..15.00 for the call.

Mosquitoe repellent or a Therma Cell is a must..I also bought some camo netting at Walmart..You will need to make a blind at your spot. The netting was 5.00 for a piece of 6 ' x 10' ...I just grabbed some branches and put them near a tree..the netting draped over the front..You can see through the netting.
you will need a face mask for sure...them birds can see the whites of your eyes...

The calling ..only these pros on here can help you with that..but you must at least learn the cutting and the yelp.

Good luck partner..As you can see,,I'm addicted already..I had a bass fishing engagement lined up..I broke the engagement ..It's 4:00 AM and I'm packed for a 60 mile round trip to go hunting for turkeys..I was just there yesterday..

When I started in "72" the only thing(s) I had in addition to what you mentioned was shells and a license.....I also got a very nice gobbler.

But I must admit I too now carry a lot of the other "Stuff" mentioned.

However, I don't think it is that addictive...(After some thirty five years I haven't missed a Spring hunt, hunted 6 states and plan on hunting 6 weeks including Sundays and probably 3+ states this year)....BUT next year I may really get serious....
