in my 870 i use 6's but i haven't patterned my new 11-87 yet. i'll bet 6's though.

Not as heavy as the 4, but more punch than the 6.

#5 Winchester XX pattern well in my gun. Which I like, I think #5s are a good compromise in energy and payload.
