Bowtex, a gobble shaker call is just that. You shake this call and it imitates a gobble of a male turkey. Here is a picture of what that call looks like. This is Quaker Boy's version of this type of call!!

a gobble shaker is another trick in the bag. when roosting birds, i will hit them with a crow call the 1st time. if nothing, i will crow call then gobble. if nothing, move onto another locator call with the same pattern. i usually always will get a gobble at roosting time with the gobbler call.

I've used gobble shakers for locating birds morning and evening, but I have better luck with other traditional locator calls. I like to owl at them in the morning and I've had great luck with coyote howlers both morning and evening.
A note on gobbling, try a tube call, they sound great and they're alot easier to carry.

I never used one to roost birds, but have had success getting gobblers to leave hens to come check out the new boy in the area. I only use this call on private land due to the safty issue.

I've used em and have had a little success with em... but most of the time it seems to shut the birds up. I'd suggest maybe trying one a few times to see how your birds react to it... you might be suprised!
