Default horrible turkey season

in south carolina, the harvest year this year was supposed to be down due to low birth rates from the year before. this proved true for me. i had one bird gobble from about 60 yds over a ditch for about 30 minutes. he lost interest and walked away. i saw many other birds strutting on the power lines, but could not attract their attention. no birds for me...
although my cousin tray down the road bagged his limit!

How was yalls turkey season?

I had a great season when I was in Missouri. I killed 2 there. Indiana was very slow this year. There wasnt a lot of action. I could have busted a couple jakes but passed. Then the othe times I just didnt seal the deal. I learned to shoot ask questions later... So I skunked myself here in Indiana...

Chris,
My season in west TN went much like yours. The weather hadme messed up alot, and when i finally got on a bird, he wouldn't work.
It was sad, this is the 1st year in 4years that I didn't kill a bird during the 1st week of the season, but I guess luck has to run out sometime.

yes, this season was horrible. the 06 season produced tags early on,but a nasty cold spell shut them off late in the season. the 05 season was great! i filled all of my tags the first two weeks. but i guess everyone has to have their off years.

It wasn't good this year in Fayatville, TN, but the opening day was fantastic, all three of us got one!

After that, the season didn't go well, but some still managed to get at least one more turkey.
