Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I have killed 12 or so longbeards, I have my furst 3 and one jake preserved unless some unique coloring is present the rest leave with the carcass, the fans are harder to preserve without bugs and they take up space

Ive have 13 fans saved, 1 cape, and 2 full mounts (1 standing on a limb and 1 on the ground full strut).

I saved all my fans the 1st 3-4 years I hunted. Then I quit saving them for quite a few years, probably threw at least ten away. Last year I started to save them again. I have two on display, one of which is the biggest fan Ive ever seen on a turkey and the other is from a double I killed with a good friend last year. One of these days I'll do something with all the others.

I also saw the hunting show with craig morgan and liked the way he displayed them as a wall border.

Watch the critters! Boraxed my 11 in beard, left it out in the shed laying in a pie tin, some critter drug it off overnite. Didn't even get to show it off. Had it one day .(paint brush beard w/brown ring about 4in. down) Kinda like the neighbors dog draggin off your 10 point rack.

i have 9 birds, i have 7 of them on my walls, the other two ,well the one is ready , i just haven't decided what i am going to do with it yet because i have the wings and feet to go with it, the other needs to be dried.....but all will be on my walls....i admit ,it's getting a lil crowded, but i have to have them so i can relive the hunt and pay my respect to them...i was thinking about getting all my feathers from the next few and doing a wreath, but i'm torn, do i want all of them mixed up and save on my space or keep doing them by themselves.....i know a guy that has one whole room done, from wall to wall, talk about some turkey tails....but thats a lil extreme for me....one wall would be fine ,lol....
heres a pic of her wreath...

That wreath is awesome! I also love the capes with tails. However, I just don't see the reason why anyone would bunch of regular tails on their walls??? It's kind of like, if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. I personally only have a couple tails on my walls but do save all my beards and spurs. I'll use the wall space for deer mounts!
