I just retired the old 870 and replaced with a Mossberg 835 Turkey Supreme nad can now shoot 3 1/2" loads, any of you have better resukts with one or the other. I paper shot No. 5'd and hit at 50 yds but need to dial in the red dot I think I can get some better results.

Hey im with you, retired my New England and got my favorite gun, the 835! I shoot the Winchester Supreme Double-X loads...3.5", 2.25 oz, #5 shot and they seem to do pretty well. I've HEARD that remington turkey loads dont pattern well, but i guess it depends on the gun.

I'm shooting the Remington Premium High Velocity Magnum Turkey load in 3 &1/2#5s.They are deadly!!! They hammer the target up to 50 yards out of my 870 Express Supermag.
I really like these loads as well as the Federals.
