I put camo clad on my browning a few years ago. It has lasted pretty good for being beat and banged through the woods during turkey season. I've even shot dove and pheasant with it and the barrel has gottenprettyhot with no problems. It was pretty easy to put on as well. From 3 feet it looks like it came from the factory. Only problems I've had are down near the pistol grip. I guessmy sweatyhands havemade itpeel a little.

I use a black synthetic beretta and every thing i hunt has never noticed it. Alot of those camo wrap can ruin a guns finish... id watch out, but personally i would never subject a perfectly good gun to such punishment. My dad has a similar beretta but with wood stock and shiny finish and he uses a camo cloth "sock" which goes on and comes off easy without any wear and tear on the gun. I personally think that this is the best bet.
Just my two cents.. hopes this helps

Even if it is gloss - movement is the key - and being pointed at that Tom - The Tom sees very little......go point that empty gun at a mirror and you will witness what the Tom sees.
I think at times Camo for our weapons is over rated!
Now the gun I use is Matte Barrel and the stick thru use has gotten a sheen to it.......but I don't worry about it and it hasn't caused me concern at all.

I use HS Strut's paint. Here's my Benelli Super Black Eagle (Left-painted) and my wife's mossberg 500 w/ factory camo. The nice thing about painting is you can control the color, dark, light, green, brown, etc.to match your hunting area. Holds up very well and after a few years, you just paint it again.... The camo clad and wraps are ok until you get em wet or the edges start pulling up. I tried the shrink wrap camo too, i think its called snake skins, and it's an absolute mess..........

As long as the gun isn't shiney,You don't need camo. With a black syn. stock,as long as the metal is matte finish you should be fine.

And if you must insist on camoflauging your shotgun, use krylon paint.
