Default Decoy setup

Anybody have any advice on setting up decoys. Does the direction of the wind matter, what formation? etc. I currently have a upright hen, a feeding hen, and a jake. Is that enough?

Yes .. thats enough for a " Love Triangle " set up.
You'll want to put the jake close and in front facing you and the hens a little back behind the jake off to the sides.
As the tom comes in it will see the jake and try to challenge it by facing it , this will give you a chance to draw you bow or raise your gun.

I like to have my decoys facing me as well.Or at least facing away from the expected approach of the approaching longbeard.Sometimes I will set that jake decoy right on top of my feeding hen like he might be getting ready to mount her. Good Luck and Have Fun.

When I use a hen and a jake I always have the jake facing me and the hen usually right in front of the jake a little off to one side facing either left or right, like the jake may be approaching the hen from behind. The gobbler will usually go face to face with the jake. There probably isn't any validity to this, but I never put the hen facing me in case the gobbler approaches it from the rear hoping to get lucky.....
