i got a remington 870 12 express 3 inch mag "turkey gun" it has a 21 inch barrel and is lighter then heck. i like the lightness and its easy to manuver and carrys really well. patterns really well for me too with an undertaker hevishot tube and hevi shot. i used to carry a mossberg 500 with a 28 inch barrel. got sick of the weight and size of that gun. too bulky and too long for me. i run and gun alot and walk far alot..a heavy long gun just wasnt cuttin it...but its all personal prefrence...back in the days before screw in chokes and the whole 9yds "turkey guns" generally had a long long barrel. todays guns and chokes and loads dont benefit much with long barrels
