If I earned a Colorado Elk Preference point when I applied for an archery tag last year.....can that preference point be used towards a different application this year (rifle, muzzleloader, etc).....or does it have to be used towards another archery draw???

I've never switched weapon choice in CO, but I believe you can use your pref point for any elk drawing next year (archery, firearm, etc.)...

Yes, an elk preference point can be used next year for ANY elk hunt application, regardless of weapon or season.
